Good morning,
My GG Grandfather James Carroll (1822-1892) was born in Monasterevin and came to Albany NY around 1832. I am looking for any information regarding his parents, James Carroll And Mary/Maria Delahunt, and any siblings he may have had. I would also be interested to find if there are any related Carrolls or Delahunts in the area.
Thanks for the help,
Andrew Carroll

Have a look at the 1901-1911 census

Andrew:
I checked Roots Ireland and found the 1820 marriage record transcription for the couple. I also saw the 1822 baptismal record transcription for James which is below. The family was living in Clogheen townland which is in Monasterevin parish. I was not able to locate any other siblings with these parents.
On July 8th the National Library of Ireland plans to place all RC parish registers online for free searching. I would look at the Monastervin register at that time.

The tithe applotment records show a Daniel Carroll farming in Clogheen in 1834. By the time of Griffiths Valuation in 1851 there?s a Thomas Carroll there. None there by the time of the 1901 census.
