    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

The townland of Coolmarks is in Tiscoffin civil parish which is to the east and northeast of Clara parish. Here is the 1850 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing which shows William Nolan in Coolmarks townland

    http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/kilkenny/tiscoffin.php

The 1901 and 1911 censuses for Coolmarks shows three Nolan families including Daniel listed above in the 1901 census.

I looked for a civil death index record for William Nolan. Coolmarks is in the Kilkenny registration district. I did find a record for a William Nolan born 1799 (according to the informant) and died in 1873. Possibly this is your ancestor.

Let me know how else I can assist.

Hello Roger, you must think I am so rude for not thanking you for your reply but I didn't see it, I am still finding my way around the Ireland Reaching Out website and just now accidently clicked on it. Thank you for the information on William's year of birth and death, he was my great x 4 grandfather. Was there any information on Ann (TYNAN) NOLAN? Can anyone go on the civil death index? I would like to know if there are any decendants of Daniel NOLAN and aslo of his sister Catherine BRENNAN. I am also researching John TIERNEY and Ann DELANY who married on 3rd February, 1823 in the parish of Dunkerrin, Kings Co. Should I go on another message board to request information on them? Again thank you very much Roger and I am very sorry for the delay in thanking you. I am in Australia and am looking for Irish sites to find information.

No problem with not thanking me earlier.

I looked for a civil death index record for Anne and did not find one in the Kilkenny registration district. I looked for someone born in the earlypart of yhe 19th century.

You can access the civil birth, marriage and death index records for free at www.irishgenealogy.ie They have the images for births starting in 1864, marriages starting in 1822 and deaths starting 1891.

I would post your other interests in a separate message.
