    Hello William,

    Thanks for your query

Have you tried searching the 1901 and 1911 to see if they are still in the area at those times? You can find this here: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/

Also you could look for more information on the civil records. Civil registration records are available from the General Register Office (GRO). These start from 1864. You can access the website here: http://www.groireland.ie/research.htm

    Best regards Michael

  • Hello William,  I am also trying to trace the Hogan family of Kilkenny they are definitely the people you have listed above and I can say Wiliam Hogan married Ann Campbell who had a son called James Hogan he married Margaret Hamilton and they went on to have 9 children all of whom were born in Liverpool.  One of them being Martha Esther Hogan. Her sister Anastacia Hogan married a John (Jack) Dunn and most of the family either then moved to Bolton in Lancashire and others emigrated to Canada

    Hope this help your search

Hello. I am also looking for Hogan ancestors from County Kilkenny. Michael Hogan was born April 7, 1848 to William and Bridget Hogan.  Bridget's maiden name was Mullen.  Michael emmigrated to the USA about 1860 and ended up in Chicago by 1870. I am looking for his birthplace and any sibling info available.
