 Hello My Great Great Grandfather, Patrick Cahill was born In Mount Shannon Galway Ireland this is what it said in his Obit  in 1902 in Syracuse Onondaga New York so I have his death certifcate and it says his father name is John Cahill, mother name is Mary Cahill. My Great Great Grandfather went to Canada then down to Syracuse New York

 Now for the Kelley My Great Great Great Frank Kelley and his 6 Children left Ireland in 1848 I have a family history that was written bry my great great Uncle William Kelley in 1939 saying that the family was from Car?/ nas Mayo County Ireland but I cant find this town anywhere can you help me.

 

 I woould love to come to Ireland but I cant do it this year.

  • Looking for information on Patrick and Ellen Mcinerny who lived in the above town. Children born in Garonboy were Michael 1832, Judith 1834,  Thomas 1835, Mary 1837,  Patrick 1839, Ellen 1841(my GGM), James 1843 and William 1845.  

    According to family knowledge Patrick and Ellen died in the potato famine.  The elder five children immigrated to Australia in the early 1850's.  The  two youngest we think remained in Ireland.  

    I have got plenty of info on their times in Australia.  Looking for details of their life in Ireland

    My Mary McInerney married John Davis, parents of Sarah Davis in Killadysert

    I also have a few Cahill's -  Elizabeth, Ellen, James, Mary and Senan

    Michael Kelly lived in Mt Shannon West later in life.
