I would like to find out a bit more about my 4th GGmother, I dont have a DOB or DOD, I know she had a child with Robert Lanigan the child was called Honora Lanigan , Ballygub, Inistioge 19.12.1813 and she had another child Mary Lanigan 23.02.1819. Thanks in advance

  • I also found a baptismal entry for a child Briget 1812 (29th March 1812)  It reads Briget for Robert and Mary Lanigan, the address is the same  Ballygubin, Inistioge.

  • Do you have any more information on Mary Turner/Robert Lanigan, did they stay in Kilkenny? would they have emigrated? The church records for Inistioge do not go back much further so if you know any more details , it just might help.

  • This page is taken from the 1831 census of Inistioge. townland of Ballygub, if you scroll down the row "No of each house"  until you come to "39", you will see Robert Lanigan is mentioned, so at least you know he was in Inistioge in 1831.
