Thomas (Francis) Murphy
The 1901 and 1911 Census has the Murphy family living in Barrack St.

Both give him respectivly Belfast or Antrim
This is basically everything I know of him, he was a jornalist for most of his civillian life.

What I have been unable to do through any of the online sites is find a Thomas with his parents.

Frank:
I checked Roots Ireland and they did not have a baptismal record for a Thomas Murphy with a father Paul for the period 1881-1889.
I also searched for civil birth index records for a Thomas Murphy in the Belfast registration district. There were no records in 1884 or 1885 but there were two in 1886. Not sure where you live in Ireland but you can get copies from the GRO in Dublin or Roscommon for around 4 euros each.
Let me knoiw if you have questions.
