Thomas was born to John and Margaret Brennan (?) in 1891 and appears in the 1901 and 1911 censuses. The family lived in Bonnybrook House. Thomas was arrested with others in 1921 in connection with the War of Independence activities, reported in local newspapers. He was released in December that year.
