Hello,
I am trying to trace relations of Timothy DUGGAN and Judith/Judy KEEGAN. They were married sometime before 1796. They had several children:
- Margaret (bap. 1796)
- Honor (bap. 1799) (may have died prior to 1845)
- Anne (bap. 1801)
- ?Mary (bap. 1805)
- Andrew (born abt 1810)
- Judy (date unknown, poss abt 1803)
- Minny (date unknown)
The baptisms noted above are from the Aghaboe Roman Catholic Parish registers.
Andrew DUGGAN was convicted of larceny in 1845 and transported to Tasmania. He later married in Melbourne and then moved to NZ. Andrew's death notice referred to him as a "native of Burrows-in-Ossory, Queen's County, Ireland"[sic].
I have no further information on any of the girls. I have found a possible match for Judy being committed as a "dangerous lunatic" in April 1859, but can't confirm it is the same person.
Any further information on this family, or suggestions for further research areas, would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Lisa
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and thanks for your query.
As you can see from the link below the Roman Catholic records for Aghaboe begin in 1795. There are some gaps however, notably between 1830 and 1838.
You could begin your search by checking for marriages for the above named children on www.familysearch.org or www.rootsireland.ie (a subscription site) to see if you can find any record of your Duggan ancestors.
Best of luck with your search
Clare Doyle
