Invitation to Y-DNA Surname Study (Maher, Meagher)

FamilyTreeDNA hosts a surname study on the Maher/Meagher name.  I am looking to sponsor tests for men with the Maher/Meagher surname who have roots in Laois and especially in Athy Parish.  Ideally, I would like to find men who can trace their lineage back to the 18th century or at least early 19th century with confidence. 

This test is a Y-DNA test and only traces direct male to male descendants of a Maher/Meagher ancestor (e.g. you carry the Maher/Meagher surname).  The test is a simple swab and only tests the Y-DNA.  You can access the FamilyTreeDNA site to see the current name study and the service has excellent help and guidance if you have questions.
