Hi,
My name is Shane Mealey, I am researching Patrick Meal(e)y and Mary Dunn, my great grand parents x3. As well as their son John Meal(e)y and his wife Elinor Green, who came to Australia. Patrick and Mary were born approx 1818 in Queeens County (County Laois). John was born in 1839 and died in 1872. Elinor was born in 1843. They were married in 1865 and for some reason in Belfast. I have their marriage certificate. Any information would be greatly appreciated and I am more than happy to help out others if I can.

Hi Shane! I just posted a message that I was looking for my great great grandfather Patrick Mealey from Westport. He was born around 1820. He had a son John P. Mealey born in 1839.But he came to America (Massachusetts) not Australia, os I guess they can’t be the same! I just thought it was a coincidence that we were bith looking for a Patrick Mealey who had a sone John! Good luck in your search. Debbie
