Parish Name

As Bryan and Honora were married in the parish of Killenummery and Killerry it may be possible that this is where Honora was from as usually marriages took place in the bride?s parish of origin.

Unfortunately, Catholic church records for the parish do not begin until c. 1828. You can see this at the Irish Times website:

I did a search for Watts that would have been in the general area in the Tithe Applotment Books. These are land records that were compiled between 1823 and 1837 in order to determine the amount which occupiers of agricultural holdings should pay in tithes to the Church of Ireland. Unfortunately, they offer no genealogical information so it can be hard to determine if the results are relevant or not. However, I did find a Patt Watts in St. John?s parish, which neighbours Killanummery parish, so it may be possible that this Watt may be some relation of Honora.

With regards to Bryan, in the Tithe Applotment Books there are records of two Clancey?s in Leitrim, both in Cloonclare parish.
