Can you clarify when John was born and do you have his mother's name? I looked at the 1901 and 1911 censuses for Keeloges townland in Rossinver civil parish and the only Dermott/McDermott was a Bernard McDermott who was unmarried and blind.

The information I have may not be accurate April 4, 1877 birth, Father John, Mother Catherine, He had 4 older sisters Mary 1866-- Rose Ann 1868--Ellen 1871-- and Bridget 1874 His parents were married Feb 1, 1866., His father was Brian and Catherines father was Terence

Found John's civil birth record on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie He was born April 10th 1877.
Mary 1866 Rose Anne 1868 Ellen 1870 (registered in 1871) Bridget 1874 If you want to look for their civil birth records, they are in the Ballyshannon registration district.
Did the family leave Ireland?
