Our O'Connell ancestors are buried in the cemetery by the statue in the circle at the center of town. Our cousins, Kathleen and John Joe 0'Connell, sister and brother, were still living on their dairy farm when we visited last around 15 years ago. We know that Kathleen died, but we don't know about John Joe. We want to reach out to find out if he is still there.
Our O'Keefe ancestors were well known by denis Broderick who has died but when we visited was being cared for in old age by his nephew at the family home on the Old Killarney Road. Four Broderick women married four O'Keefe siblings back in the mid 1800s. The family owned 700 acres along the Feale River before the British seized the land. The family broke up and emigrated from Ireland to Chicago. There, our O'Connell ancestor married our O'Keefe ancestor. We want to remain in touch with the community and cousins in Abbeyfeale.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I located this obituary from 2011 https://rip.ie/showdn.php?dn=143226 There is no mention of USA relatives but is this your John Joe O'Connell?
Let me know.
We do not have a parish liaison in Abbeyfeale but there is one in the next parish of Killeedy.
