Searchig for information on my emigrant ancestor Maurice Connelly and his brother John who left Ireland for Canada, then the United States (Detroit, Michigan) around 1850. Maurice's father was possibly named John Connelly from that same area of Limerick. I do not know his mother's name but it may be Mary. Maurice married Hannah Kerrigan or Keargan but I do not have record of their marriage or any information about Hannah's family in Ireland. They were married about 1839-41 in Ireland. I have christening records of their children Catherine (1843), John (1847), Thomas (1848) and Maurice (1851) all from Cragmore, Askeaton. Several other children were born in the U.S. I have information that they lived in the townland of Cragmore. It is possible that Maurice had another brother named William Connelly.
I am looking for any other records, information on his wife Hannah's surname and her family, location of their property and any living descendents in the area. In other words, anything!

There are Kerrigans on the 1901 & 1911 Census in Ballyhomin;
the next townland to Cragmore, Askeaton.
if your ancestors were from cragmore, they had
Left the area before the 1901 census was recorded.
There was a Johney (John) Kerrigan living in Ballyhomin.
He died in the late 1960's. or ealy 1970's.
i believe Johney (John) kerrigan never married.
there was 2 sisters living with hime,john was the last die.
the house & land was left to a person whose family name was hurley,
his first name might be patrick,. i believe the kerrigans & the hurleys were related
the house & land is now owned by seamus bradish.
there no kerrigans living in the askeaton area today

John
