We believe this family of Michael & Eliza (Reidy) McCarthy had 2 daughters baptised in Kilcornan/Stonehill Parish (Roman Catholic) Hellen & Maria (Mary) in 1825. Would love to find where
Michael & Eliza were married. We believe quite a few Catholics changed to Protestantism in the middle
1820's, as we believe this family did. They had a son Thomas born 1826, daughter Cath 1829 & Ellen 1832. They came to Australia on "Aliquis" leaving Cork harbour 1838.
Would love to find out any information on this family's life in Ireland before coming to Australia.
Michael was a gardener.
