I wonder would anyone have any information on Sarah Bray of Rathcannon. Sarah was born to Patrick Bray and Bridget Benson on 29/07/1897 and had 14 siblings.The last mention I can find of her in various records is as a witness at her sister Bridgets wedding to Patrick Tierney at Kilmeedy church on 27/11/1920.
There is a story in the family that she was attacked by the black and tans, but no-one seems to know what happened or how true that is.There are no wedding or death records for Sarah that I can find, and I have looked extensively. Perhaps she emigrated. Sarah was my great grand-aunt and I would be extremely grateful for any help.

Hi,
I couldn't find her after the marriage of her sister Bridget as you said.
I searched familysearch.org and every Bray marriage and death.
As it happens I will be in Ireland next week and hope to meet my cousin in Rathcannon.
She is like a book, full of local knowledge.
I will ask her and I will let you know anything when I come back.
