Hi Seeg,
My name is James Cussen from Montreal, Canada. Our family name was Cushing and then changed to Cussen in the 1820's.
Since the records were open on June 30, 2022 I found the Cussen's had lived in Listowel, Kerry, Ireland but before that I think Limerick as one of the Cussen's
was born from there and also it looks like the Cussen family started in Listowel around the 1820's.
If you recognize any of the information please let me know. It is rare the Cussen name is mentioned in Ireland xo.
Some of the Cussen's went to the Boston area also in the late early 1900's.

James
After leaving Ireland. my Cushing / Cussen family emigrated to Troy NY.
In 1881 my great grandfather was married in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada to a second generation Canadian [Catherine Dineen]. Her mother's family was originally from Cavan County, Ireland and her dad from Kilnamartyra, County Cork.
I don't have any info on parents or siblings of my gggrandad so not sure whether any of my Cushing/Cussens remained in Limerick.
