Hi--

I'm looking for information on the family of Thomas Hogan from Galbally. Thomas is my 3X great grandfather.

Thomas was married to Mary Powers. Both were born in the early 1800s and emigrated to Lowell, MA sometime around 1842. He possibly started out in Charlestown, MA when he arrived. He listed Galbally, Limerick as his birthplace on his US naturalization papers.

I have no other information on Thomas or his family.

Mary Powers may have had a sister Margaret, and listed her parents as Richard Powers and Catherine Ryan.

Mary and Thomas' children were: Patrick, Catherine, Margaret, Hannah (my 2x great grandmother), Mary, Julia and Thomas. The first four children may have been born in Ireland.  They lived in the section of Lowell known as the Paddy Acre.

I know this is a longshot but I was in Galbally this summer and figured I'd reach out in case someone knows of a connection to the Hogans who went to Lowell, MA.

Thanks in advance for your time and help!

On the subscription site Roots Ireland, I located baptismal records for three children of Thomas Hogan and Mary Power(s).

Honora Hogan baptized January 16 1834 father Thomas mother Mary Power RC parish Galbally and Aherlow.

Patrick Hogan baptized March 18 1836 same parents and church

Catherine Hogan baptized September 23 1838 same parents and church

I did not find a marriage record. There is a Thomas Hogan record in the parish for March 1810 (no exact date provided) father Michael Hogan mother Honora Ryan

Galbally and Aherlow baptismal records start in 1810
