In his U. S. naturalization papers, Michael Prindable said that he was born 14 Feb 1828 in Ballg???, Co. Limerick, Ireland. (It looks like it might be Ballygeana, Ballygreen or Ballygrennan Townland. Someone wrote over it, and then the word "stet" was added, meaning leave it as it was.) He arrived in New York City, New York from Liverpool, England on 31 Mar 1860. He was accompanied by his wife, Johanna nee Collins, born about 1832, and daughter Mary, born about 1858. They lived in Massachusetts for a number of years, having several more children: Hannah/Hanora 1860, William "Bill 1864, Michael 1865 (died 1870), Margaret, 1866, and James 1869. Johanna died and was buried in Massachusetts in 1874. Michael and the children then moved to Minnesota. For a few years they were in Oklahoma, but returned to Minnesota. Michael died in 1911 in Adrian, Nobles, MN. I have no information on parents or siblings for Michael.

Hi Clayken.
There was only one Prindable in Co Limerick, in Griffiths Valuation, 1850s www.askaboutireland.ie He lived in the civil parish of Rathronan Barony of Shanid in west Limerick..
There were two in the 1901 census , one in Askeston west Limerick.
Let me know if you would like me to do more research on this for you..

Hi
Im not sure if my reply sent so here goes again.
My surname is Prenderville. There are 17 different variations of the name and Prindable is one of them. A lot of times in the past people wrote it as they heard it, and depending on the accent, it varied. I do have a genealogy done and will root it out to see if I can find a Michael.
Regards
Annette

I never saw the responses above. Thank you for taking the time to look.at my post and check the Griffith's and 1901 census, Christina.
Yes, Annette, I have often had search include Prende(r)ville. For this person there has only been one place that his surname showed up as Prendeville. However, the variations for Prindeble are many, as is often the case.
I have searched church records for several years, but as is often the case I have at least an 8 year spread given what shows up in records/censuses, etc. So far I have not located any immediate family for him other than his wife and children. Guess I have some more rocks to turn over.

My Prindiville's were from Co. Limerick but Abbeyfeale. I have seen many ways to spell. They emigrated to the US and settled in Central Illinois.
