Greetings from South Africa,
I would like to review parish records of the Killeely parish. Relating to my Family O'Toole.
according the the 1901 Census records they were of the Parish of Killeely of the Barony of Hard Castle.
At the time the census was taken, my Great grandmother Anne O'Toole was head of the household.
She was born Stuart ( or Stewart) she is recorded in both surnames on the many records I have checked.
They lived across from the Great Grandfather Edward (Eamon) O'Toole who grew up in Thomondgate house.
I have been researching this side of my family tree for 20 years and only have gained much insight and information in the alst 5 years.
I would be grateful for all information that can be given regarding the parish, how it works etc.
This Family live in Thomondgate street for many years.
Kindest greetings
Carol Roestorf (O'Toole)

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I found the civil marriage record for Edward and Anne in November 1868. The marriage was at St. Munchin's parish. See transcription of civil record below. I can see on Roots Ireland that they had many children. You can get a short-term subscription to Roots to see their records. Also, images of civil birth records are available for free on www.irishgenealogy.ie
Are their other records that you need to see? RC parish registers that are on line do not have records beyond 1880 (some parishes earlier).

Hello Roger McDonnell
Thank you for a most informative reply.
I knew of the the two fathers but had no idea of their professions. two O'Toole
this is such valuable information.
do you think it possible that Birth records or marriage records exist for the Stuarts and or O'Toole lineage that goes back to prior the birth of the great grandparents.
I know that I am reaching ver far back, but this desire to know and perhaps make contact with the current generation in Ireland has been a burning ambition for 20 plus years.
I spent a week in Dublin some 18 years ago looking through birth and batism records and did not not find any.I did however on a trip to county Wexford come across a graveyard that was filled to brimming with O'Tooles.
I have a great aunt that was the first of the offspring called Susan Mary and although I have her birth records I could find no record of her marriage to someone called Frank The had bought a hotel in Keely and retired there.
I will definately look into a short term subscription to Roots.
If you are able to unearth anything remotely linking me to anyone in the village that could be realted via the very large family, most of which I have managed to find birth records of, I would be extremely greatful.
until later
Blessings for a sunshine day from Africa.

Carol:
The RC parishes around Limerick city have records back to the 1700s so you should find records for earlier generations on Roots Ireland.
