Knockainey is a small rural community of approx 700 people, in south east Limerick, between the villages of Hospital and Bruff, and Lough Gur is within the parish. In Knockainey there is a primary school with over 100 pupils, St. Mary’s Catholic church, a Community Centre and two pubs.
