I am looking for any reference to John Slattery and his wife Mary Clohessy, who had 8 children, most of whom migrated to Australia. Are there any family members still living in the area? A couple of the children were born in Hospital,

  • Thanks Eamonn - my research shows that John Slattery and Mary Clohessy (Cloghessy) had 8 children - the eldest (Patrick)  was baptized in Hospital in 1816, Catherine 1819 in Hospital, Mary 1823 in Knockainey, John 1826 in Knockainey, Margaret 1828 in Knockainey, Ellen 1830 in Knockainey, Bridget 1834 in Knockainey and Partrick in 1841 in Hospital. John emigrated to Australia in either 1857 or 58. I have no record of John and Mary's marraige nor any other information about the family in Ireland. So any information would be helpful.
