Culhane and Murphy families in Limerick

Hi Angela,

I searched for the people you mentioned without success on www.rootsireland.ie/ but finally fond 1 - a baptism record of James Culhane in Limerick 1818. Mitchellstown is not in the list of parishes & there are too many to go through.

There are also 2 records of baptisms of Catherine Murphy in Limerick 1822 (maybe the same 1 twice?)

It costs to view the full record on rootsireland but it would give you the father's name and the parish

You could then search for his siblings

The marriage record is also there - Limerick 1839

Thanks for your reply, again :) Yes. I scored James Culhane and Catherine Murphy's marriage certificate and his death certificate off rootsireland. I coudn't find the baptism of James in Limerick in 1818 but will look again and I saw those 2 Catherine Murphy baptisms. Will look at it again tomorrow. Yes must have meant 1822 -sorry!

However in a bid to look a bit less silly I found a few other Culhanes around that time (search without first name in 1818 + - 10 years i Limerick) : Thomas 1817 Ellen 1816 Margaret 1820 & Bridget 1815

If you search + - 20 years there are 38 of them!
