My GGG Grandfather Michael Casey (ca 1815 - 1882) lived in Annagh in Murroe Parish in Limerick. A tenant farmer on the Barrington Estate, he was married twice, each time to a Ryan. First to Margaret Ryan (four children), then to Catherine 'Kate' Ryan, (with whom he had six more).
His children were as follows:

For the first four brothers, including my GG Grandfather, I have Birth and Baptismal Certificates from the Murroe/Boher Parish. For the remaining siblings, my info comes from online research and you can see that some of those dates just don't add up. Their names all came from Michael's Obituary following his death in Chicago in 1898:
Casey , Michael, June 19, 1898, aged 44 yrs., at resid., 244 1/2 S. Sangamon, husband of Mary, nee McGinney, brother of Patrick, William, John, Edward, Thomas, Hanna, Maggie, Kate and the late Timothy Casey , native of Anna, Parish Murroe, Co. Limerick. Funeral from St. Patrick's Church to Calvary
From my research I know that most of the children came to America, most settling in Chicago, Illinois.
Other facts that I have & questions I'm working on:
- I have located the Sr. Michael Casey in Griffiths, Parish of Abington, Annagh, Map Reference 16a
- From research done by Limerick Ancestry, I know that Michael Casey died at Annagh on 12/1/1882.
Question: Where is he buried? If I obtain a copy of that death certificate, is it likely to indicate where he is buried?
- From land records I believe that the plot of land that Michael farmed in Annagh passed to his son Thomas, who I suspect is the only one who did not emigrate. I believe that it may be the case that Timothy later lived in or near Newport, while continuing to farm in Annagh.
Question: What happened to Timothy and where is he buried? Are there any living Casey connections to be found in the area today?
I know from US Census records and the birth dates of some of their children that Michael and his siblings came to American sometime between 1870 and 1880, but I've never been able to pin down exactly when, or if they came all at once or in groups.
Question: When did Michael and his siblings leave Ireland for America?
My GG Grandfather Michal Casey was married to Mary Geary/Guiry (1856- Mar 11, 1885) of parish Feenagh. I don't know anything about her family. I beleive that she and Michael had their first child in 1881 in Chicago.
Question: When and where did Michael and Mary get married? And what can I learn of her family?
