Sorry -- I followed a distant relative and posted this to Athea Parish, not noticing that that parish is actually in Tipperary!

Per a DNA match, I know I'm related to Marianne Cashman (the earlier message concerning the Daltons).

My great grandmother, Mary Dalton, was born in Athea (County Limerick) in 1847; her parents, Thomas Dalton and Johanna Fitzgerald, were married in Abbeyfeale in 1846. Haven't been able to find when Mary left for the US -- she married a John Reagan (Clare? Cork?) over here. Any information on her family would be appreciated.

As far as I can tell, she lived in a cottage which still stands (but has been abandoned) southwest of Athea, south of Con Colbert Street Upper. I was able to take photos of the building on my last visit to Ireland.
