Good Morning,

I am looking for any and all information about my great grandparents, Peter Goldrick and Catherine Galligan. They were married in Granard in February,1862, had ten children and came to the United States in 1892. My grandfather Patrick was the youngest child and born in 1882 according to the section of Granard Parish from "The Geneology of County Longford" site.

I began this search a quite late, my aunt being the only one left from the last generation of McGoldricks, (seems the Mc was added when they reached New York) so I'm reaching out hoping to find anyone who might help me as I try to recreate the folktale of our family.

Thank in advance,

Bob

  • Robert:

Roots Ireland  www.rootsireland.ie has the marriage record and also Patrick's baptism in the Granard RC records.. I assume the other siblings baptisms are also on Roots. Roots is a pay site to view the data that Roots transcribed from the Church record. Let me know if you have questions.

  • Thanks Roger...both for the quick response and the good lead. I was hoping the marriage cert would have Catherine's parents names but alas...such is the madness of searching.

    Thanks again,

    Bob
