I would appreciate any information regarding Michael O'Hara whom I believe left Longford due to the potato famine.  He relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana and is my great-great grandfather.  Any and all information is truly appreciated.  Thank you for reading my message.

    I found Michael O'Hara (35) and Mrs O'Hara (30) both born in Ireland and their two children in the 1880 US Census at New Orleans, Louisiana: Mary O'Hara (2) & Alice O'Hara (5/12) both born in New Orleans

     

    I also found the following birth record in New Orleans, Louisiana:

    15 April 1880, Alice O'Hara, daughter of Michael O'Hara and Ann Frowley (probably Frawley)

     

    If these records relate to your family, you should check for the marriage record of Michael O'Hara & Ann Frawley sometime prior to 1878 and the birth record of Mary O'Hara c1878 along with the death certificates of Michael O'Hara and Ann Frawley O'Hara to see if they can provide further information on their ancestry.
