I am trying to find information about my great grandparents, Patrick McNulty and Mary Kelly. I believe he was born in 1865 in Shraheens (sp?) and came to the US in 1881 or 82. They ended up in Cleveland, Ohio, where I was born. My mother is a McNulty and the daughter of Patrick's son John T. Many thanks!

I searched births/baptisms on rootsireland for Patrick McNulty born 1865 in Mayo and got 4 matches - 2 in Foxford and 2 in Ballina. I suspect they are 2 of the same birth/baptism. Of the 2 the closest to Sraheens is Ballina.
I then tried ancestry and found a few public member trees had a Patrick McNulty born 1845 marrying Anne McGinty whose birth year was given as 1853 so she had Patrick junior in 1865 when she was 12!
So, back to rootsireland for the marraige of Patrick and Annie but found Patrick McNulty marrying Bridget Ginty (attached) in Sligo in 1858. The record is very disappointing as the only useful information is the name Bartholomew McNulty a witness - possibly a brother of Patrick's.
rootsireland did not have any births for Patrick McNulty and Bridget Ginty from 1858 + 20 years but Patrick jnr arrived in USA in 1881 or 2!
There are 100 McNultys in the Griffiths Valaution in Mayo (1856)!
Will do abit more in the next few days.
