Re:  William Ferrie

How wonderful to hear from a Ferrie relation. I do not have a lot of information on William Ferrie.  First known to be Australia in 1885 - unable to find on any passenger list.  He was in Castlemaine Victoria with his brother Peter.  Castlemaine was a goldfield area, gold being discovered in September 1851. William is noted on records as butcher and baker.

No records found of William's marriage or any children.  He died in 1902 aged 70 and his wife Francis in 1903 aged 75.

I found a record in the Scotland census, however did not know the connection as Peter's records show he was born in Donegal.  The only family information I have is the Australian history and would love to know more regarding Ireland and Scotland, if you are able to help.
