Hello.
My great great great grandparents were Michael Brown and Catherine Coyle. I believe they were from County Mayo. They had at least one daughter, Ann Brown , my great great grandmother who married a John Gibbons Foster who was from Ballintubber by the Abbey. I do not know anything about their village or their parents. It is not surprising, I know. I have tried the usual ways but have not been able to find any information about them. Is there some other site I could try maybe.

Can your provide some dates? When was Ann born and when did she marry John Gibbons Foster? It may be that these events are before the RC records start for the area. Mayo Abbey starts in 1841 http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/1076 I did find a John Foster in the 1855 Griffiths Valuation for Drum civil parish which is nearby. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/mayo/drum.htm

Thank you for your reply. Michael Brown , I have a date of birth of 1781 and Catherine Coyle 1786. Ann Brown Foster was born in December 1824 and married John Gibbons Foster 1846 but that was in Carbondale Pa. . She most likely had a sister Ellen who was born in March of 1831, John's father was Thomas born 1790 who farmed in Cranmore Park by Ballintobber. I think my time frame is not very good for any records. But thank you for your reply. Mary Coleman.
