Hello, my name is Dave Stone and I'm new to this site. I enjoy doing family research and look forward to meeting new friends. I am currently looking for a little help for a particular ancestor whose ancestral line has been very difficult to trace after her. Her name is Anna Hannore Dean and she was born on October 31, 1857 and passed away on July 31, 1956 in Omaha, Nebraska. All I know is that she was born in " Mayo " Ireland. Not sure which parish would have her info though. Any guidance or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Dave,
I searched Mayo births/baptisms on www.rootsireland.ie/ for Anna Dean 1857 but git no matches; however for Anne there were 8 matches for 1857 + - 10 years but none is 1857.8 matches for the search criteria: Dean (plus variants) Ann 1847-1867

Col,
Thanks for the response and nice to meet you! The name Anthony appears in our line later but I'm rather confident on that birth date of 1857. She has been " the mystery woman " as my cousin who is very much into family history has put it. I have seen multiple documents with the name of Anna Dean on it but so far noth the correct one. I will not give up though! The thrill is in the hunt right?

You might want to have a look at Griffiths Valuation Dave; there are 56 Deans in Mayo.
http://www.askaboutireland.ie/
There are none in Mayo in the early Irish Censuses but there are lots in other counties.
Could she have been FROM Mayo but born elsewhere?
e.g. there are 3 ANNA Dean records:
3 matches for the search criteria: Dean (plus variants) Anna 1851-1863

Do you know if she was RC or C of I?
