I am trying to find out information about Bryan Cowley.  My research indicates he was born in approximately 1788, probably in County Meath.  We believe his father's name was John Cowley.  In approximately the year 1816, he married Mary Flood.  Together, they had a son, John, born in 1818.  Apparently, Mary died, because in about 1825, he married Margaret Hopkins.  Together, they had the following children:

Bernard, in 1827

Daniel in 1830

Thomas F. in 1835 or 1837

Patrick in 1838

Katherine in 1838

Michael in 1846

Philip in 1846

Sarah in 1854

We believe the family immigrated to the United States in 1850, landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Do you have any records of the marriages or baptismal records regarding Bryan or his family?

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and thanks for your query

Ireland Reaching Out cannot provide access to records. As you may know, there is no central repository in Ireland for records. As you can see from the link below, the civil parishes of Julianstown and Stamullen, Co. Meath are separate areas, though close to each other:

    http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/civilparish/index.cfm?fuseacti…

The records for the corresponding Roman Catholic Parish of Stamullen begin in 1830/1831. As this is the case, there will be no church records for the marriage of John and Mary. However, if you search www.familysearch.org or www.rootsireland.ie you may be able to locate the records of Bernard and other siblings. You could also search the Tithe Applotment Books 1823-1837 and the Griffith?s Valuation, (a land survey taken between 1847 and 1864) for occurrences of the family in that area. Although they only record the name of the head of household, it can prove useful.

Have you checked emigrant records for the family? http://www.castlegarden.org/

Best of luck with your search
