Hi,
First of all, it took me two days to realize that a record that says Kilcloon, Batterstown and Kilcock are actually talking about Town names and Diocese names.
I'm searching for the cemetery where my ancestor, James Woods, is buried. He died between the years 1845 - 1853. How I got to these towns is through baptism records of his 4 kids born in Ireland in one of these Towns.
My thought is, he lived in that area because over a period of 11 years all his kids were Baptized in the same area.
My second thought is, if you Baptize your kids in a certain Church, more then likely you'll be buried there. Maybe.
But how to find that Church? There are many candidates: St. Oliver Plunkett in Kilcloon; St. Terese and Church of the Assumption in Batterstown and the Churches in Kilcock.
Is there a way to get more info about those baptisms?
I'd appreciate it,
Rosemary

Hi Rosemary,
Thank you very much for your message. I hope that someone with information makes a connection with you and helps you to further your research.
In the meantime, it may be an idea to contact the local parish priest to see if he can advise as to which graveyard would be most likely given the year of death.
In order to get more information on the baptisms you will need to get the baptism records. Catholic record for Kilcock start as early as 1836:
As you can see from the above link Meath Heritage and Genealogy Centre have copies available. Here is their email if you would like to contact them: meathhc@iol.ie Please note however that a fee may appy.
