I am trying to locate in Co. Meath a town land or an estate named Roys. A relative who died in NYC in 1877, John Fagan age 70 yrs old, his obit in a local NYC newspaper indicated he was native of Co. Meath ( of Roys ), Ireland. I have not been able to locate such a town land to date.

As you indicated there is no townland of that name. There is a Rowlestown in Ardcath civil parish. Were they tring to indicate Royal Meath?
