I'm trying to find information on a marriage between Micheal White and Margaret Fagan in Meath (don't know where exactly) in 1839. I've found Margaret Fagans Family but not Michael Whites. They had 3 children also in Meath, Ireland then moved to England, Manchester in about 1843 were they had more children. I really need help on the White side as they just seem to stop.

Do you have the names and approx. dates of birth for the children ?
A search for their baptisms might give a starting location...

The names and dates are Henry White 1839, Mary White 1841 and Patrick White 1843 all born in Meath according to Ancestry.co.uk.

There is a possible marriage for Michael and Margaret showing on the index of RootsIreland (pay-website), it's in Summerhill RC parish, Co. Meath, in 1844. This couple seem to have had at least two children baptised in Co. Meath during the 1840s however none seem to be named Henry or Mary, but there is a Patrick, baptised 1847
Not sure if this family fit with your White family if they were already in England by about 1843, or maybe there's been some sort of mixup with the names or dates... What type of source was that detail you mentioned from the Ancestry website ?

Thank you for looking and replying so quickly, I have seen that marriage you mentioned but I also found one for 1839. The information I have is from british census results on Ancestry and the marriage record I found but I can't remember where I found it as I'm on quite a few geneology sites and groups (probably Ancestry or Find my Past). They seemed to move to Tyldesey, Lancashire about 1843/44 because they have another child John in 1844 in Tyldesley. I got most of this from the 1851 and 1861 census and Johns marriage and birth record.

I think I found the correct family on the 1851 English census in Tyldesley civil parish, but the children seem to be a little older and no sign of a Patrick... maybe Patrick was born after this ?
The household is at Bridge St., and has Michael (40 - c1811) and Margaret (30 - c1821) and three children Henry (14 - c1837), Mary (12 - c1839) and John (8 mon), plus a lodger.
All the family, including young John, are listed as born just 'Ireland'. Maybe the census has his place of birth incorrect - did you locate an English birth cert for him, or another John ?
If that confirms Margaret's maiden as Fagan, then that should then that should help confirm the link back to that couple I mentioned in Meath. I'd be a little cautious of details from Ancestry for Ireland, as results for general searches can include details from submitted trees - which are often not accurate.

That is the right family problem is the 1851 census says Michael was born in 1811 and the 1861 census (which I'm not sure about but the people and most of the details seem about right) he was born 1801 but his wifes details seem correct. I know a lot of mistakes have been made on the census so not sure about exact dates. I have Johns birth, marriage, and death certificate as he's my 2nd great grandfather the birth doesn't say much but it does confirm his mother as Fagan and his marriage just names his father as Michael and he was an engineer but deceased. If I can just find Michaels fathers name I would be happy as he's been a pain from the start.
