My great grandmother Katie (Catherine) McGillick was born in Navan, Meath on the 25th AUGUST 1875.  She married a man with the surname of Stanton.  Any information gratefully received.  Barbara

Welcome back to Ireland Reaching Out!

Did Catherine marry in Ireland? I could not locate a Catherine McGillick marriage to a man with the surname Stanton.

Below are the likely 1901 and 1911 census records for Catherine's mother Mary and two siblings. I was not able to locate a civil death record for Catherine but her father may have died in 1883. See index record below. Eventually images for 1883 death records will be place online but for now you would have to write to the General Register Office to get a copy of the record.

  • Thank you to all for your help.  There will be no marriage or death for Katie in Ireland as she moved to England, but your help will enable me to research further back in time.  Barbara
