Hello.

I would really appreciate some help.

I am looking for a Thomas connor from navan county meath. I know its a very popular name and I dont have dates for him but I would say he was born between 1916/17 and 1924. he had 2 sisters teresa connor born 8th august 1923 and bridget (my grandmother) born on 22nd october 1925.

His parents were christopher connor born 1894 and mary anne connor born kennedy. born 1898.

thank you for reading

kind regards

karen

  • Hello Karen,

This is a general response having viewed your previous posts. You mention Athlumney Cemetery in a previous post and the possibility of a headstone having been erected/transcribed. Back in the 1990’s The Irish Graves Registration Society  transcribed the headstones that remained and were part of two volumes of headstones in the 26 Counties . I understand copies of the books are held by Dublin City Library and if a headstone exists/existed it would no doubt have been entered in this publication.

Approaching them no doubt would be your next step.

  • Hello Karen,

I would in this instance contact the library and state your interest in the cemetery and ask if they would forward a copy of the entries for your cemetery of interest or the individual(s) you are looking for (quote the society and approximate period of publication).

It is unlikely these books are in print and the cost of purchasing an existing set of books may be exorbitant.
