Hello,
I am seeking information on the James Wiggins family of the 1740's. He leased land from Thomas Verner, per: PRONI, of Dublin in 1750 in Townland Mullenagore, County Monaghan. I believe his wife's name to have been Nancy. He had three sons: Samuel b. 1748, Thomas b. 1750, and James b. 1752. He had a twin brother Willm, both were baptise on January 23, 1723, in Colones, County Monaghan, per Ancestry.com. James' fathers name was John Wiggins married to Jane, his baptism also appears on Ancestry.com. Also at Find-a-grave John's grave site shows up in Clones, Monaghan. Surely there is some information on James' family when I have been able to glean these shreads. I am mainly interested in Samuel as he is my 4th removed grandfather. A church record that has not been published or anything. Where he lived, who he married, where he board what ship to come to America. I have been looking for him origin for three years, found his daddy and grandfather but not him in Ireland, then he just pops up in America. Help.
Regards,
Nancy

Dear Nancy
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and thanks for your message.
As you can see from the link below, Clones is a Civil Parish in Co. Monaghan:
The Church of Ireland records for Clones begin in 1829 while the Roman Catholic records begin in 1848. As this is the case, there will be no church record available and as civil registration did not begin until 1864 (generally speaking), there will be no civil record of Samuel?s birth.
Have you searched the emigration sources at the National Archives?

The library in Clones, Co. Monaghan has an interesting website you may be interested in:

Out of interest, you could have a look at the Tithe Applotment Books 1823-1837 for occurances of the Wiggins name in Clones. Although it only includes the name of the head of household, it can prove useful: http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/results.jsp?…
Best of luck with your search
