I have detailed information on the Purdy family, who lived near Clones, Co. Monaghan. My great-grandparents, John Purdy and Anne McElnea, immigrated to Canada in the 1860s.

Hello,
John Purdy and Anne (or Anna) McElnea (my great grandparents) married in 1857 and immigrated to Canada in 1860. The Purdy grave is at Stonebridge Presbyterian Church, Clones. Descendents of the McElneas (3 brothers - Joseph, James and John) are or were living on a dairy farm near Clones. I am interested in knowing more about Anne McElnea's family, ancestors and descendents. When I visited the three McElnea brothers in 1995, we established through photos of the grave at Stonebridge and the Purdy/McElnea grave in Ottawa that we are related but we could not establish how Anne McElnea was related to the 3 brothers. I was not able to obtain the Stonebridge church records at the time but they may show the marriage details of John Purdy and Anne McElnea.
Thank you for offering to assist. I have more details if you need them.
