I do not know the parish of my grandmother Mary KERR. She came to New Zealand in 1879 at the age of 18 years  after her mother died. I do not know the names of her parents.   Her father was said to have been  a schoolteacher. She is said to have had a sister or sisters who went to America.  My grandmother's mother worked  at a presbytery in Monaghan.

    The record of the birth/baptism of Mary Kerr 1861 Monaghan is on rootsireland.ie.

    If you get the record you can click on the magnifying glass at the end and get the parish which I got - Monaghan Roman Catholic.

    If you purchase the record (it's a pay site) you will get the parents' names and you can then search for siblings using the surname and parents' names but leaving the first name blank.
