The attached photo is of the Parish Blacksmith - O'Rourke c 1925.  Not sure of his first name but Jack Rourke then became the balcksmith so this photo is probably Jack's father.

P.S. Rourkes/O'Rourkes do no live in Newtown anymore but the house is still lived in.  It was sold a few years ago when Mr Rourke died.

Do you know if Catherine was from the Parish of Rahan or where she was from?

Found the marriage record of William Rourke and Catherine McAuley

They married in Rahan, in Killina R.C. Church on the 1st November 1896.  Catherine was a Dressmaker

Their son Joseph was born September 13th 1898 and was baptised in Killina Church.

They lived in Newtown, Rahan
