I did a search for Catherine Mulvihill on www.rootsireland.ie I found a result for a Baptismal record for Catherine Murvilih in Co. Roscommon in 1844. I wonder is it possible that this is your Catherine and that her name was misspelled or transcribed incorrectly? You can conduct a search for free on this website however, if you want to look at the actual record you will need to pay 5 euro or its equivalent and it may or may not be relevant to your research.

You could also try writing directly to the local parish priest for some assistance. Perhaps they may be able to find Catherine?s baptismal record in the original in Elphin parish.

Otherwise it is going to be quite difficult finding records as most Catholic records are still held at a local level so you need to know where the event occurred in order to know where to look for records.
