Seeking ancestry of Michael Connaughton born 25 Nov 1833 Elphin married Cordelia Byrne, Birne, O'Birne,etc born 5 Nov 1835 Elphin and confirmation of their dates of birth. 

Michael Connaughton married Cordelia Byrne/Birne/O'Birne,etc 15 Feb 1855 in Evansville, Indiana, U.S.A.

Michael Connaughton emigrated to the U.S.A. about 1852. In 1854 he settled in Jacksonburg, Bulter Co Ohio.

Michael died on 23 Mar 1908 and is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Glenwood, Auglaize Co Ohio and Cordelia died two months later on 15 May 1908 and is buried next to her husband.

Michael and Cordelia Connaughton had eight children:

1. John Joseph, born 27 Nov 1855 in Jacksonburg, Bulter Co Ohio. He married Maria Magdalena Jacobs 30 Oct 1883 Wapakoneta, Auglaze Co Ohio.  He became a lawyer and a naturalized U.S.A. citizen, then served as Mayor of Wapakoneta, Auglaze Co Ohio

2. Barnard G. (Barnie), born 27 Nov 1855 in Jacksonburg, Bulter Co Ohio. He married Ellen Burke in Glenwood, Auglaize Co Ohio

3. Mary A., born 19 Oct 1859 in Jacksonburg, Bulter Co Ohio. Did not marry

4. Sarah Jane (Sadie), born 30 Jul 1862 in Jacksonburg, Bulter Co Ohio. Did not marry; died 14 Dec 1885 in Glenwood, Auglaize Co Ohio

5. Michael P., born 11 Jun 1863 in Madison(?) Ohio.  He married Cathering King in Cynthiana, Kentucky.  Death date?

6. Anna D. (Annie), born 15 May 1865 in Miltonville, Bulter Co Ohio. Did not marry; died 15 Jun 1886 in Glenwood, Auglaize Co Ohio

7. George T., born 7 Apr 1867 in Miltonville, Bulter Co Ohio. Did not marry; died 31 Jun 1888 in Glenwood, Auglaize Co Ohio

8. Peter H., born 1 May 1869 in Miltonville, Bulter Co Ohio.  He married Cora Kolter in Lima, Allen Co Ohio and died 23 Apr 1899.
