Seeking information and/or relatives in Culleens, Kilglass, Sligo.  Thomas Patrick O'Hara, who when by "Paddy" was born in 1845 to Patrick O'Hara and Bridget Flin/Flynn.  He married Honor Foody, daughter of Michael Foody and Ellen Tiernan of Castlconor.  His son John Thomas O'Hara had a son named John Valentine "Val" O'Hara, who last time my grandparents visited, still lived in the original family homestead in Culleens.  Thomas and Honor's daughter, Dora (O'Hara) Cavanagh had a daughter named Doris (Kavanagh) Clarke, who owned the Benbulben Hotel with her husband Paddy Clarke.  Thomas and Honor's son Michael Joseph O'Hara was my great-grandfather, who moved to Govan, Glasgow, Scotland and married Catherine Murray of Easkey there in 1905.  In 1924 they moved to New York City.  While living in Govan, they had a 2nd cousin named Peter McGowan, also living on Queen Street in Govan.

    Hi! Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out. In case you don't have the marriage record of Thomas and Honor below is the index record from 1877. You can get a copy if you are interested from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. I can provide instructions if you want to get a copy.

    I also checked Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie and they have the 1855 baptismal record for Honor in the Castleconor RC records. Roots is a pay site to view the transcription of the church record.
