Malachy Fallon b abt 1812 and Bridget Mulligan b abt 1816

The records for Knockcroghery (Killinvoy) RC parish start in July 1841. There are no records for 1858-1859. Likely the marriage was before July 1841. There are Malachy Fallon and Bridget Mulligan baptismal records in St. Peter's Athlone church around 1820 and earlier but that parish is two parishes to the south of Knockcroghery and those records are likely for other individuals.

Checked the Griffiths Valuation for 1855 and I assume Loughlin Fallon in Ballyglass was your Malachy?

thank you for your input into my message. Yes I think the Loughlin Fallon in Griffiths Valuation is Malachy Fallon. Although I did find a Malachy Fallon and Michael and John Mulligan - farmers on the Griffiths Valuation as well. Michael and John Mulligan might be related to Bridget Mulligan?

Malachy Fallon b 1862 and Bridget b 1851 are two of their children.

Should I follow up on the two from St Peters Athlone parish? 

I will definitely fill in the form for when we are visiting Ballyglass and areas . I would love to meet someone for some assistance.

I know I am grabbing at straws, it just is so hard to get certain document clarification for some people. I suppose you are suggesting that people didn't move too far in those times. Both of these people were born pre 1820 , so will have to assume that they came from the Killinvoy  (Knockcroghery)  parish.

I have just seen this post so I hope it is not too late to reply. Re Malachy Fallon and Bridget Mulligan: their son Malachy Fallon born in 1862 died 10th December 1936 in Ballyglass. This Malachy and his wife Mary Morriss also had a son Malachy born 7th April 1896. I do not have a record of his death. There is a recent record on rip.ie of the death of Malachy Fallon Ballyglass who died 11th May 2013 in Ballglass - he was also a descendant and is buried in Rahara cemetery. My local contacts tell me that the nearest relatives living now are Aidan Fallon and Brian Fallon (Corbooley) and Gerry Mulligan ( Ballyglass). I suggest popping in to the local pub in Rahara, always a good source to find directions. If you choose to use any of these contacts, i would appreciate if my name is not mentioned as I am not personally known to them. Wishing you well in your search.
