I will be in Ireland 26 September - 9 October. I would dearly like to meet with a volunteer from the above area, to visit where my great-grandfather was from. His father was a blacksmith, and I believe he would have worked with Brian Delany who had the forge at the time. My g.grandfather [Michael Patrick] was born approx. 1855, but I don't know his mother's name; his father was was also Michael. It would be helpful if there were records [National School, Birth, Baptismal, Marriage] I could search to learn more about the family of my ancestors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can see more info about Spring Gardens, in the civil parish of Kiltullagh, at this link, which includes an interactive map allowing you to see nearby areas:
https://www.townlands.ie/roscommon/castlereagh/kiltullagh/kiltullagh/sp…
There are further links there to the 1901 and 1911 censuses, as well as the records for the townland in Griffith's Valuation (mid-1800's). I'm not sure exactly what your ancestor's surname was, from the wording of your message (i.e., was Patrick his surname?), but there was a Brian Delany listed in Griffith's Valuation (mid-1800's), as you can see at this link:

It looks as though Spring Garden is located in the Catholic parish of Kiltulla [Catholic parish names are not always the same as civil parish names, and the boundaries often differ], and the parish records which are available online for Kiltulla can be accessed at this link, going back to 1821 for marriages and 1839 for baptisms:

Mairéad,
Michael Murphy was born to Michael Murphy and Bridget Breheny in Kiltulla, Roscommon on 22 Feb 1857. Sponsors for the baptism were Kate Breheny and Michael Murphy. This can be seen on the parish records online.
Best wishes, Kieran

This is an image take c1930's when my Grandmother visited Spring Gardens together with some of her children, when trying to locate some of my Geraghty ancestor who also came from Spring Gardens.
I went over many years later and met a couple of Delany's & who had fond memories of my Geraghty's & helped me with my research.
Let me know if this is of any interest

Hello, Kevin,
Thank you for the valuable links. My family surname is Caveney, thus Michael Patrick Caveney. I believe the Michael Caveney listed where Brian Delany's name appears is my g.g.grandfather. What I'd dearly love is more information, ie: wife's name, names of siblings of Michael Patrick. I have seen a John and Patrick Caveney, tenants sharing Lot 2 "Pollanarro". Is that nearby to Lot 8 Spring Gardens, where Michael Caveney was listed at tenant on Lot 8 Spring Gardens?

I found the following today, posted 8 hours ago:
8 hours 14 minutes agoAdded Ancestor18th June 1813When I clicked to find more information, the message said I was denied access to this page. How can I find out more information on this post? I have tried with a search of the spelling of that surname, Co Roscommon, etc. but get nowhere. This may be one of my ancestors, perhaps g.g.grandfather?mrsmurphy
