Hi my name is Ann-marie

Looking at the 1911 census my ggranfather lived in belfast at 79 Balkan Street his name was James Thompson he was born in 1897 and was fourteen at that time.

He met my ggranmother Annie Forman who was also born in 1897 and they married on 27th November 1918 at st mary's church of ireland Shankill

my ggrandfather died in england in 1973 aged 76 and my ggrandmother died in belfast in1972 aged 75 years

What i am trying to trace is their children especially my grandmother we do not know her first name but apparantley went on to marry a michael glennon

they also had a son called patsy.

The story goes that my grandmother who i cannot find anything on met michael glennon and married him (nothing on this) had my mom ann-marie glennon (nothing on this) at around 21 years of age in 1941. My mom was told that her mother died around a year after she was born of TB (nothing on this) If you can trace there births or baptisms (catholics) i would be able to get a christian name to enable me to search further. When my ggrandfather came over to england to work on C & A in birmingham we lived right next to all saints mental hospital.

I know its a mess but i need to know what happened to my grandmother and why i can not trace a death certificate or birth certificate for my mom Ann-marie also known as anne or ann

Please please help Me!!!!!

Thanking you in advance

Ann-marie

  • Birth, death & marriage certificates for Northern Ireland from 1922 onwards are not on-line anywhere. You need to contact GRONI in Belfast to search for them.
