I have received your messages on the Loughman Gathering FB page and MyHeritage regarding a Patrick Carroll or O'Carroll of Carhue / Carrow) who married my gran-aunt, Bridget Loughman. I have posted the only information I have so cannot confirm if there is a connection I'm afraid. It is my aunt who is now 95 who remembered this information.

Hello my name is Sue (maiden name Carroll) and I live in Australia.

I have an ancestor Edward Carroll born Tipperary circa 1816 who married Margaret Hayes

Her father was Patrick Hayes from Cromwell, parish Kitteely, Limerick born 1788. Patrick's parents were John Hayes and Kate Fitzgerald. Patrick was a school teacher and married  Margaret Munam. They came to Australia around 1850 and settled in the area of Yass.
