I have traced my Leary/Lewis/Fitsgerald line back to marriage of Edmund Leary and Honora Keeffe in 1816 and Thomas Lewis (Luis) and Joanne Fitsgerald in 1821.
Have traced forward my line and and 2 brothers children to US. Many stayed there. I am attempting to follow forward. The Leary group was in the Knockballinira on the 1901 and 1911 census.
Any way to follow these people forward to find current descendants?

Have you considered also putting a message in a more local forum such as a newspaper or newsletter ?reaching out? to possible descendants?
You could try contacting the local parish priest to see if he can place it in a church newsletter or he may have some suggestions on other local forums. Here is a link to his contact details:

No I had not thought to do that. I had dealt with the priest in Ardfinnan when I was there. Very helpful, but then that was 2007, and I didn't know as much as I do now!
