Searching for Reeves/Reives family in Ballina area

It is interesting that the marriage occurred in the groom's parish rather than the bride's parish in Ballina. Possibly she was not RC? If she was RC then a baptismal record would not be available because the Ballina records start in 1832.

I also looked at the 1850 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Templeachally civil parish (which included Ballina) and there were no Reeves records. No Reeves records in the Tithe listings and no Reeves records in the Templeachally area in the 1901 census.

Any siblings?

Thanks for your reply.  I took another look at my records and did see that Catherine was from Killaloe.  Sorry for the misinformation.  I did not see her name in the St. Flannan's baptismal registry but will look again.  As you know the copies are very difficult to decipher. There is a gap in Killaloe records which would be the time frame of Catherine's birth/baptism. My records indicate she was born abt 1824 and gap is between 1822-1825.

 There was a Mary Reeves as a sponsor to son James baptized in Oct 1844 at St. Flannan's and a Michael Reeves sponsor to daughter Helen born in 1860 in Troy New York,USA.  They could be possible siblings .

I did find  a Christopher and Biddy Brien Reeves with children Ellen b. 1819; James b. 1820; Michael b. 1823; Catherine b 1825; Mary b. 1827 in Galbally and Aherlow which is Limerick Tipperary.
